(WDNG) - Anniston police on Wednesday arrested 35-year old Tommy Nolen and his wife, 32-year-old Misty, on domestic violence charges. According to police reports, authorities responded to a disturbance call on the 300 block of Hobson Ave. around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night.
According to Anniston police Cpt. Allen George, the woman said she was getting bills together to mail when her husband demanded she give him the money orders. The husband was reportedly drinking at the time of the incident. George said when she refused to give her husband the money orders, he allegedly tried to grab them from her.
The argument reportedly escalated and by the time police arrived, both admitted to wrestling each other. Police were unable to identify the aggressor and both were arrested on misdemeanor third-degree domestic violence charges.
After a required 12-hour holding period, Misty and Tommy Nolen were both released from the Anniston jail on Thursday on a $500 bond each.
