(WDNG) - Anniston police are on the lookout for a vehicle stolen from the Saks area. A 23-year-old Anniston man reported his silver 2003 Nissan Altima stolen from the 800 block of Old Gadsden Highway sometime late Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
Anniston police Sgt. Chris Sparks said the victim’s ex boyfriend had come to the area from Florida on Monday in an attempt to rekindle their relationship. Later that night, the owner got a text message from the ex boyfriend saying he had taken the car. Sparks said the car did not require a key to start.
A police report indicates the car thief faces felony first-degree theft charges in the incident.
