(WDNG) - Anniston police on Wednesday were investigating a reported theft from a room at the Victoria Inn on Quintard Avenue. Police reports indicate the burglary happened sometime on Monday afternoon.
Anniston police Sgt. Chris Sparks said a 49-year-old man from South Carolina was staying at the hotel. Sparks said the man returned to his room Monday evening to find an iPod, tablet computer and some girls clothes missing. Sparks said there were no signs of forced entry into the room and said the hotel uses magnetic key cards to provide access to rented rooms.
Police are still investigating Monday’s burglary and Sparks said that hotel management requested a meeting with investigators to discuss the incident. According to a police report, potential suspects could face felony third-degree burglary charges.
