(WDNG) - The Anniston city council on Tuesday approved two resolutions that give a total of $115,000 to North American Bus Industries and Creedmoor Sports.
Creedmoor Sports was a California-based dealer of firearms and firearm accessories that recently moved to the McClellan area of Anniston. The council unanimously approved a resolution which gives the company $15,000 in incentives for moving to Anniston.
North American Bus Industries (NABI) received $100,000 from the council on Tuesday for expansion of facilities near U.S. 78 in the extreme southern part of the city. Mayor Vaughn Stewart said at Tuesday’s meeting that NABI is one of the largest employers in Anniston, behind the Anniston Army Depot and Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center.
The upcoming expansion at NABI will reportedly add nearly 100 new full time jobs.
