(WDNG) - State officials will hold a symposium this week to encourage men to make health a priority. The Alabama Department of Public Health will hold its second Men’s Health Symposium on Wednesday on the campus of Alabama State University.
The symposium will include topics such as heart disease, stroke risk factors, and also utilizing social networks to promote healthy living. The symposium will also feature speakers from area hospitals and state health workers. Members of the Men’s Health Committee have several events planned during the month of June to share information on health education.
