SEC Commissioner Mike Slive says the league office will have more input into which teams go to which bowl games.
"Let me put it this way," Slive stated. "If people aren't happy where they go to a bowl game now, they blame me. So if they're going to blame me, what the heck? I might as well take some of the responsibility."
Commissioner Slive hinted to the fact that not all bowl games are equal, and the league's control of who plays where will vary based on the specific bowl in question.
The SEC is expected to add the Belk Bowl (Charlotte) and Texas Bowl (Houston) to replace the Cotton and Chick-fil-A, which move up into the playoff rotation.
