(WDNG) - An Alabama Congressman holds a town hall meeting in Randolph County to discuss the rural economy and recent news from our nations capital. Republican Rep. Mike Rogers of Saks held a town hall meeting at The Missing Link in Roanoke on Wednesday, saying in a release that these meetings are regularly held across the Third District to give voters an opportunity to discuss issues in a public setting.
During his Randolph County stop, he also toured window and door manufacturer Jeld-Wen in Roanoke and the new Tanner East Alabama Medical Clinic in Wedowee. Rogers said “our rural economies are vitally important to our nation and we must continue to find ways to help attract and create new good paying jobs.”
His town hall meeting also gave voters an opportunity to ask questions about topics from the recent IRS scandal to tax reform.
