Anniston Police have charged a 70-year-old man with possession of child pornography and say more charges could be forthcoming.
Jerry Moses was arrested Tuesday in Anniston. Police served seven search warrants at the time, taking Moses' laptop and desktop computers, a cell phone, a disposable camera and a video camera. Investigators also took 75 DVDs and CDs and sent them to the electronic task force in Hoover.
Police say a concerned citizen brought the case to their attention.
"An individual borrowed a camera, for a family friend. They realized it had some photographs on it, began scrolling through the photographs, began finding images that [they] believed to be child pornography, then the brought the camera to us," Capt. Allen George said.
Police say 10 images are what they describe as "production" images, meaning they believe Moses took the images himself. They says it appears that the other images were shot while watching child porn on a computer.
Moses was held on a $10,000 bond before being released.
