Today, the coroner's office released preliminary results for Nick Bower's autopsy. Preliminary results reveal an accidental drowning death in the case of the 27-year-old NASCAR fan from Villa Rica, Ga. The 10-day search ended last week on May 14 in east Alabama when his body was found. According to the Talladega County Coroner's Office, an Etowah County helicopter crew spotted the body of Bower around 11:49 a.m. in the Choccolocco Creek near a dam in the Shoals area. Today, the sheriff's office is holding an appreciation luncheon for everyone who participated in the search for Bower.
