More than 100,000 fans are expected at the Talladega Superspeedway this weekend.
Although officials said attendance has dropped over the years, the number of camping fans has risen.
The threat of wet weather isn't dampening the mood of many, and officials said they have a new system in place to ensure a faster drying time on the track. "It's a different system than the jet dryers that our race fans are used to," said Talladega Superspeedway Chairman Grant Lynch.
