An 18-wheeler lost control and flipped during a 2-vehicle accident on Highway 77 in Rainbow City Wednesday morning. The road was closed for hours. Police say the roadway reopened Wednesday evening. The driver of the 18-wheeler was transported to UAB by Lifesaver helicopter. He was last listed in serious condition. The driver of the car was taken to St Vincent's East where she was treated and released. Rainbow City police and fire departments responded to the wreck.
