The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office has charged a former Pell City schools bus driver for allegedly having sex with a minor student. Aleah Love, 29 of Riverside, was placed on administrative leave last week pending a criminal investigation, according to Assistant Superintendent Michael Barber. Barber added that Love has been an employee with the system since February 2007. According to authorities the alleged crime happened away from school and while Love was off-duty. Under Alabama law, it is a felony for a school employee to engage in sex acts with a student under the age of 19. If convicted, a suspect could face between two and 20 years in prison.
