Oxford police say a bank robbery suspect has been arrested in the Atlanta area. Police confirm that Eli Scrutchins was arrested without incident in Fulton County, Georgia, and remains in that county's jail. Police say the FBI and the Southeastern and Gulf Coast Regional Task forces of the US Marshal's Office took part in that arrest. Scrutchins has been wanted for robbing the Farmers and Merchants Bank on Highway 78 in Oxford March 5. At the time, an Oxford police spokesperson said officers were able to identify Scrutchins from the surveillance camera video, but didn't say how police knew Scrutchins.
