Birmingham Police report the 2-year-old involved in Saturday morning's shooting has died. Nazario Boykins, 2, died Saturday afternoon at Children's of Alabama just before 3:00 p.m. Police say the mother and child were shot by the mother's brother, Andre Boykins, Jr. , 22, during a domestic dispute.
An Attempted Murder warrant has been obtained against Andre Boykins Jr. Investigators anticipate to obtain a murder warrant for the dead of the suspect's nephew.
The mother is expected to recover from her injuries.
