A group of local students is helping people they've never met by making sure they have fresh well water. World of Life Academy in Oxford is a small school trying to do a big thing. They say Friday is the last day of several fundraising effort to build a well in the Le Ceiba area of Honduras. Donors sponsored gallons of water that students carried whild walking a mile to dramatize the challenges faced by poor people in Honduras who do not have ready access to clean water. The students have raised enough money to send the principal and four teachers to Honduras next month to dig that well.
