A suspended Methodist pastor, charged with the murder of his wife, waived his preliminary hearing Thursday afternoon in Jefferson county court. A grand jury now will get the case against 54-year old Rev. Dr. Terry Greer. Prosecutors say Greer also attempted to kill the couple's daughter and then tried to take his own life. It happened at the parsonage of Gardendale-Mt. Vernon United Methodist church in January, 2013. Greer spent several weeks at University hospital before being well enough to be transferred to the Jefferson county jail. He is being held without bond.
