A Leeds man says he has found the answer to keeping kids safe in schools. Joe Culwell says his door will withstand up to a .50 machine gun. After watching the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Shooting, he said the idea just came to him. The door is made out of a military armor plate and even has a bullet proof peep hole. Some parents think the door is a good idea. "I want to make a difference. You know, there's no amount of money worth a child's life," said Culwell. "I'm 100 percent for it. Not because I'm involved in it but because I have kids and with the economy and the way of the world the way it is now a days. Somebody has got to do something." The estimated cost for these doors and the installation ranges between $1,200 and $1,500 dollars. If you would like to learn more about the doors, log on to safeschoolsforkids.com.
