Students on a Walker County School bus received a scare Thursday afternoon after a woman struck the rear of the bus with her car. The Board of Education reports that the children and bus driver were shaken but not injured. The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. on Highway 78 toward Jasper. Traffic in both directions was shut down temporarily by deputies with the Walker County Sheriff's Office.
The condition of the female driver of the vehicle that hit the bus is unknown at this time.
