Fugitive Detectives in Etowah County have arrested Ciara Collins and an unnamed juvenile, both of Gadsden, for attempted murder after an incident that occurred on February 18th. At approximately 2:30 Monday afternoon Tavarius Perki,ns was shot in the face at his residence in the 1100 block of Grant Avenue. Perkins told Police that someone knocked on the front door of his residence, when he opened the door he saw the masked offender standing there with a gun pointed at his face. He tried to shut the door and the offender fired once before running away. The bullet struck Perkins in his cheek. He yelled for his roommate who called 911. Perkins was taken by ambulance to Gadsden Regional for treatment. His injury is not believed to be life threatening. The investigation is ongoing. Both suspects are being held at the Etowah County Jail. Collins on a $20,000 bond, the juvenile on a $75,000 cash bond.
