Four University of Alabama football players were arrested Monday. Freshmen Dennis (D.J.) Pettway and Tyler Hayes were both charged with robbery 2nd degree, freshman Eddie Williams has been charged with robbery 2nd degree and fraudulent use of a credit card, and sophomore Brent Calloway has been charged with fraudulent use of a credit card. According to court documents, there are 3 cases against Williams, 1 case against Calloway and 2 cases each against Pettway and Hayes. University of Alabama police department alledge in one case a student's backpack was yanked away and a Mac Book Pro was taken. In another alledged robbery, a student's wallet was taken by one or more players while the others sat in a car nearby. That student victim's Action Card was used by the suspects to allegedly make purchases at vending machines on campus.
