Country Crossing casino developer Ronnie Gilley is scheduled for a third day of testimony in Alabama's gambling corruption trial in Montgomery.
Gilley, who has pleaded guilty, testified Thursday he gave $200,000 in campaign contributions to Sen. Harri Anne Smith to support pro-gambling legislation. He said he agreed to provide $100,000 in campaign contributions to former Sen. Larry Means for his vote. And he said he offered the support of country music entertainers to former Sen. Jim Preuitt for his vote.
All three senators voted for the bill when it passed the Senate in March 2010.
All of Gilley's testimony so far has been for the prosecution. Defense attorneys may get to question him Friday.
