Jessica Mae Hardin, who faces charges for the death of her 9 year old step-daughter has been released from jail. A spokeswoman with the Etowah County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Hardin posted bond at 3:30 Monday afternoon. Friday, a judge reduced her bond from $500,000 to $150,000. Nine year old Savannah Hardin collapsed and later died in February 2012 after authorities say she was made to run for hours as punishment for telling a lie about a chocolate bar. The girl's grandmother, Joyce Hardin Garrard is being held without bond on a capital murder charge in connection with the child's death.
