A Gadsden city councilman, Robert Avery,has been chosen to serve as chair of the Finance, Administration and Intergovernmental Relations committee for the National League of Cities.
The National League of Cities is an advocacy organization comprised of city leaders and represents over 19,000 municipalities. The committee Avery has been chosen to lead is tasked with developing positions on topics involving national economic policies, civil rights and labor relations, among other issues.
