Alabama and Notre Dame football fans wanting to attend the BCS National Championship game in Miami will have trouble finding any tickets on the cheap. Currently on StubHub, the cheapest ticket out of 8,858 available is $1,487, and the average ticket price is nearly $1,700. Irish fans are surely clamoring for tickets to the showdown in South Beach on January 7, considering they haven't won a national championship in 24 years, and it will be their first ever appearance in the BCS title game. The last time these two teams met was nearly 40 years ago in 1973.
Ticketcity.com's cheapest ticket is $1,329, for seats 14 rows up in Section 447, which is a corner-endzone section in the upper level of Sun Life Stadium.
Alabama is playing in their third championship game in four years, and have a chance to become the first team to win back-to-back BCS Championships.
Roundtrip flights to Miami that weekend are averaging around a thousand dollars online.
