One person was killed and 5 were injured in a two vehicle accident in Talladega Friday evening. The accident happened around 5:40pm one mile west of Sylacauga on Sylacauga Fayetteville Highway.
Robert Charles Pate 52 of Sylacauga was driving a 1989 Oldsmobile Cierra. He was transported to UAB Hospital. The other victims were traveling in a 2001 Toyta 4Runner. Tisha Pate 42 of Sylacauga was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center. Burnice Allen Morris 32 of Jemison was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center.
Two children ages 8 and 3 months were transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center. Christin Leigh Thrash 19 of Sylacauga was killed in the accident. The accident is under investigation.
