There's a unique bus in Jacksonville State's Gamecock Express fleet. The big, purple bus from NABI in Anniston is a lot longer, wider and more colorful than its smaller counterparts. That's because the school is helping to test the diesel hybrid engine for that company. NABI allowed Jacksonville State to use it free of charge. They feel the campus shuttle's route will simulate the traffic of a metro bus. JSU will have the bus until it runs up 10,000 miles.
