A Clayton woman has been charged with felony interference with child custody.
A felony warrant alleges that 33-year-old Julie Bethke took or enticed 15-year-old Ailene Lander from the custody of Barbour County Department of Human Resources worker on Sept. 17.
Bethke was being held in the Houston County jail on $350,000 bail. If convicted, Bethke faces one to 10 years in prison.
Federal authorities have also charged Charles Dean Partin, Lander's stepfather, with abducting her from the doctor's office. Lander was in state custody at the time and had been taken to the hospital for an appointment.
Authorities say the couple led authorities on a multi-state manhunt before they were arrested in Ohio.
