Riverside Police are reaching out to the public to help them locate a person who may have given a murder suspect a ride around the time of the crime. Police say that 30-year-old Jeffrey Wayne Finney, Jr. is in custody Friday for the Sept. 27 murder of his cousin, 34-year-old Ricky Shane Williams. If anyone gave Finney a ride in the early morning hours of Sept. 28 to the Stop 'n Go on Renfroe Road, police need to speak with that person as soon as possible. Police have provided a photo of Finney wearing the same clothes they believe he had on when a citizen gave him that ride. In addition, if any Talledega County resident has seen a green 1991 Cadillac Seville (no tag number available), police ask that you call them immediately. If you have information in this case, contact St. Clair County dispatch or Riverside Police Chief Rick Oliver at 205-884-3333.
