A top recruit for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide has been arrested for the second time in less than a month. Deon Carnell Johnson was arrested and charged with rape in the first degree according to records posted by the Baldwin County Sheriff's Department on Wednesday. Johnson was also arrested on September 6, 2012 and charged with rape in the second degree and sodomy. Johnson, a football player at Spanish Fort High School, was first released in early Sept. on a $20,000 bond. His new bond is set at $25,000. The Crimson Tide recruit made his commitment to Alabama in April.
He chose the Tide over LSU, Auburn and Mississippi State.
