Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange says thousands of Alabamians who lost their homes to foreclosure could get payments from a multi-billion dollar settlement. Claim forms are being mailed to about 29,000 people who lost their homes between 2008 and 2011. The payments are from a $25 billion mortgage foreclosure settlement. Eligible borrowers had mortgages serviced by Ally-GMAC, Bank of America, Citi, JPMorgan Chase, and Wells Fargo. Packets mailed in Alabama will contain a letter from the Attorney General, a claim form, instructions, and answers to frequently asked questions.
