University of Alabama football commitment and Spanish Fort standout athlete, Deon "DJ" Johnson, 18, was booked at the Baldwin County Corrections Center at 8:43 p.m. on Thursday night, charged with second-degree rape and sodomy.
According to a Daphne Police spokesperson, a complaint was filed against Johnson by the parents of the alleged victim, which led to an investigation. The spokesperson said they "found enough evidence for an arrest." Johnson turned himself into police yesterday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
He is rated a 4-star athlete by 247sports.com, and has been committed to Alabama since April 14. As a junior last year, he hauled in 19 touchdown catches.
