Governor Robert Bentley says Alabamians need to prepare for the chance that Tropical Storm Isaac becomes a hurricane and strikes Alabama.
According to the Governor, forecast models show Isaac making landfall along the central Gulf Coast on Tuesday or Wednesday.
"Now is the time for you and your family to make sure you have the proper supplies and plans in place," Governor Bentley said. "Inland areas of the state could also be affected. We are keeping a watchful eye on Tropical Storm Isaac, and we encourage everyone to monitor changing weather conditions over the next several days." On Thursday, Bentley announced the launch of the renewed Ready Alabama initiative, a program to help people prepare for natural disasters. For more info on Ready Alabama, visit readyalabama.org.
