Very saddened by the news that Whitney Houston has died at the age of 48. Such a special gift she had. So ironic that the news reported she started singing in church. No doubt about it, her voice was a gift from God. I absolutely loved every Gospel song recorded by her in the soundtrack of "The Preachers Wife". I can’t think of anyone who was even in her league. The most powerful female voice I have ever heard. It is sad how many people are already spewing hateful comments through social media. Too many people living in glass houses throwing stones. Whitney got out of a bad situation and attempted to face her demons. There are people all around us who are not stars or millionaires who face the same issues she did. They need encouragement and help, not hatred and scorn from self righteous hypocrites who refuse to admit their own issues or have no compassion for those who have made erroneous choices in their past! It was reported that the last song she was heard singing was "Jesus Loves Me". I pray that she was reaching out to the one that loved her most,& praying for her family tonight, hoping that she had time to make her peace with God before she crossed over into her eternity. I really do believe that when we get to Heaven, there will be those that we will be "surprised" to see, and others that we will be shocked not to see! Though we need to live each second as if it is our last, it's all about our relationship with God at the moment we take that last breath as to where we spend eternity. So thankful that God truly does know our heart.
