The state troopers will be putting in a lot of work during the Fourth of July holiday, trying to keep the roads safe. The troopers will be patrolling overtime from early Wednesday morning through Sunday night. State Public Safety Director Hugh McCall says that the troopers will be conducting license and sobriety checkpoints, operating speed devices and saturate some areas.
Drivers driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be apprehended.
Please drive safe during the holidays.
