Birmingham Police detectives have obtained an additional warrant against a suspect in connection with an impersonating a police officer investigation. This case is not related to the initial investigation. Police say 42 year old Bobby Honeycutt, of Birmingham, attempted to stop a victim near the campus of Birmingham Southern College. The victim refused to stop and pulled onto the campus next to the Police gate. The suspect identified himself as a Birmingham Police officer to the BSC officers. BCS officers asked the suspect for identification, but the suspect refused and left the scene.
An additional warrant has been obtained for Impersonating a Police Officer. The warrant has a $15,000.00 bond. Honeycutt is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.
