A Jefferson County judge set the bond for a Birmingham lawyer facing child-sex solicit charges Monday morning.
Former Jefferson County judicial candidate Chuck Hunter is charged with traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child.
His bond totals $250,000. Hunter also faces drug charges.
During Monday's bond hearing, the state played a 22-minute recorded telephone conversation prosecutors said was between Hunter and a Hoover detective posing as a 14-year-old boy.
Hunter's preliminary hearing was waived, and is case is now headed to the grand jury.
