The Supreme Court will not interfere with the water dispute between Atlanta and bordering state.
The 11th U.S Circuit Court of Appeals ruling still stands. The court of appeals tried to restrict Atlanta’s water access in fear that it would threaten surrounding states, but the appeals court overturned the judgment and was in favor of Atlanta, saying they have a legal claim to the water from the other reservoirs.
Florida, Alabama and southern parts of Georgia have been against Atlanta using their reservoirs because they feel it endangers their wildlife and industries downstream.
