Tuscaloosa police arrested Leroy Kendall Banks on Rape of the 1st degree. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on June 16, when a young woman told her mother Banks had raped her. The mother notified the police three days after the incident.
Banks was arrested on Marijuana possession and then later was charged with the rape charge. The victim was 15 years old and Banks is 30.
Banks is being held in Tuscaloosa on a 60,000 bond.
