MINNEAPOLIS – July 13, 2012 — Logic PD's director of software strategy, Mark Benson, is presenting at CMOS (Communications, Microsystems, Optoelectronics, Sensors) Emerging Technologies Conference being held next week in Vancouver. During the four-day conference, industry leaders will present in-depth tutorials describing state-of-the-art technology and future research directions.
On, July 18, Benson will present 'Trading Power and Performance to Achieve Optimal Thermal Design for Battery-Powered Devices,' at 1:30 p.m. PT. During this session, Benson will explore the thermal performance problems that exist in small battery-powered devices and software techniques for managing thermal performance. He will also discuss new advances coming in microprocessor design that enable possibilities for better software thermal management.

Mark Benson is the director of software strategy at Logic PD. Benson is responsible for leading product software development, championing the software aspects of the technology roadmap and setting the overall software strategy for the company. Since joining Logic PD in October 2000, Benson has led highly-creative and productive multi-discipline (industrial design, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, manufacturing) teams in the development of advanced embedded product designs for the industrial, medical, aerospace, military and consumer industries.
