Ivory Homes of Utah Predicting Positive Shift in Spring Home Sales

Mon, 14 May 2012 16:00:00 EST

Salt Lake City, Utah – United States – May 14, 2012 -- Ivory Homes of Salt Lake City, Utah is predicting the spring home selling season of 2012 will likely be a turning point for the real estate market.  After a seven year decline in both home prices and sales; many in the business feel that consumer confidence will cause a major shift in the housing market.  Ivory has beautiful homes all over the Salt Lake City area.  The homes in Lehi are one of their more popular areas.

We had the chance to sit down with Ty Perry, a sales consultant with Ivory Homes.  He told us, 'The current housing market has nowhere to go but up.  Consumer confidence is the highest it has been in several years.  If you pair that with interest rates at around 3.88%, buyers are finding this an ideal time to purchase a home.  Historically, spring is a busy time for the housing market; Ivory Homes foresees 2012 as being one of the best seasons on record.' He said.

Ivory Homes opened its doors for business in 1987.  With their trademark, 'Utah's Number One Home Builder'; in less than 4 years they made their name a reality. Since then they have kept their number one ranking with over 10,400 new home starts with the next competitor a distant second with only 4,700 homes.  According to many buyers the beautiful homes in Draper, Utah are conveniently located for quick access to Salt Lake City.

Ty Perry continued to chat with us about the housing market.  He said, 'With the economy recovering, buying a home is no longer scary.  I have talked with many real estate professionals and they say that there is a great feeling in the marketplace.  This positive feeling is two-fold; first homes are actively selling and there are a low number of homes for sale at this time.'  He said with a smile.
