Learning How to Get Passport Services Is Easier with Release of New Videos

Mon, 2 Apr 2012 17:41:17 EST

Applying for a new passport or renewing an expired one is now easier with the release of instructional videos on U.S. Passport Service Guide's YouTube channel at Applicants can quickly learn about the application forms and supporting documents that are required in order to obtain first-time passports or passport renewals for both children and adults.

'The objective of the passport service videos is to provide American citizens who travel abroad with a panoramic view of the essential documents and steps necessary to apply for a variety of passport services,' said William Manor, owner of U.S. Passport Service Guide. 'The videos about getting new passports and renewals were released first because these are the most frequently requested services. Future videos will address the issue of changing the name in a passport, adding pages, replacing lost or stolen passport and other services,' Manor concluded.

Each video runs approximately two minutes in length. Viewers are presented with a step-by-step process that they can easily follow to get their travel documents. Each type of passport service only requires 3 or 4 steps. A list of acceptable options is provided for each supporting document that is required. The videos also include a few tips to help applicants complete the passport application process in such a way as to avoid delays and get their passports as quickly as possible.

One thing that can affect the documents that an applicant must submit is how quickly the passport is needed. For this reason, there are videos for those who can wait the 4 to 6 weeks required for standard process. There are also videos for those who need to get their applications expedited in 2 to 3 weeks or apply at a regional agency for same day service.

The majority of viewers will find all the information they require to obtain the passport service they need within the videos. Anyone who has a question not answered by the videos can refer to U.S. Passport Service Guide's extensive FAQ section on their website at
