LeSean McCoy still a top-10 back

In what qualifies as the first truly huge fantasy football story of 2015, the Buffalo Bills have agreed to trade for LeSean McCoy. In return, the Philadelphia Eagles will acquire linebacker Kiko Alonso. McCoy was a slight disappointment for the Eagles in 2014, and for his fantasy owners. After winning his first rushing title in '13 and racking up 2,146 yards from scrimmage to go with 11 touchdowns, Shady struggled in September behind the Eagles' badly depleted offensive line, and regularly tried to do too much as his mediocre runs mounted. As Philly's blockers started to return to health, McCoy's tape looked more representative of his skills and his numbers improved: He registered at least 80 yards rushing in nine of his team's final 12 games. But Darren Sproles frustrated fantasy owners with several huge plays from scrimmage and siphoned a career-best six rushing TDs from McCoy. Later in the year, Shady suffered...

Peterson, Vikings to meet Wednesday

Minnesota Vikings??coach Mike Zimmer and GM Rick Spielman will fly to Texas on Wednesday to meet with Adrian Peterson??at his home outside Houston, a league source told ESPN.com's Ben Goessling. Peterson's wife, Ashley, will also be present for the meeting, in which Zimmer and Spielman will try to convince the 2012 league MVP that he should remain with the Vikings after missing almost all of the past season while addressing child abuse charges in Texas. It will be the first time since September that Peterson will meet face-to-face with Vikings officials, and time is of the essence. The new league year, including trades and free agency, begins Tuesday. Peterson, who was placed back on the commissioner's exempt list this past Thursday after federal judge David Doty ordered the NFL to vacate his suspension over child abuse charges, can once again talk directly with the Vikings. Spielman said Monday the team has had " open...

Jim Harbaugh helps women in crash

Jim Harbaugh's heroics at Michigan apparently stretch beyond the football field. Harbaugh and one of the football program's support staffers stopped to help a pair of women who had been in a car crash on the interstate Tuesday afternoon. A university spokesman confirmed that the Wolverines' head coach and football operations director Jim Minick provided first aid and offered their coats to the women as they waited for law enforcement to arrive shortly before 3 p.m. The police report said the car flipped multiple times while rolling over the median on I-94 before coming to a stop in a snow embankment. No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The 53-year-old driver was partially ejected from the car through the driver's side window. She and her 73-year-old passenger were both wearing seat belts and had "non-life-threatening injuries." They were transported to a local hospital via ambulance. Harbaugh and Minick were on their way to the...
