LeBron James says Cavs 'fragile'

CLEVELAND -- With so much of the season still left to be played, it would be too early to say the Cleveland Cavaliers have hit a breaking point after a 110-93 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Saturday night dropped them to 5-7. But LeBron James says the state of the Cavs is delicate at this early juncture. "We're a very fragile team right now," James said after Cleveland saw an 18-point first-quarter lead turn into a 19-point fourth-quarter hole against the Eastern Conference-leading Raptors (11-2). "Well, we were a fragile team from the beginning. Any little adversity hits us, we just shell up. That's something that will come with experience." James, who earlier this week said that looking back on his Heat's 9-8 start to the 2010-11 season gave him a "sense of comfort" in processing the Cavs' struggles, went on to reflect on how that campaign ended for Miami -- with a 4-2 loss in the NBA Finals to the Dallas Mavericks. ...

Jimbo Fisher: FSU wins in every way

Following Florida State's narrow 20-17 win over Boston College on Saturday and yet another frenzied fourth quarter in a season defined by them, coach Jimbo Fisher said it doesn't matter how the Seminoles win -- only that they continue to find a way to get it done. "Let me ask you this: How about the way everybody else hasn't finished?" Fisher told "Our team has never not finished. The game is 60 minutes. This team hasn't lost in over two years. Everybody says 'game control.' That's something made up. As a coach, you talk about one thing: Finish. Get it done. This team wins in every way, shape and form you can win. Everybody else has failed at least once, no matter what you look at, and some of those teams have lost when they were over 20-point favorites." Oregon was a 24-point favorite when it lost at home Oct. 2 to Arizona. In Week 12, the College Football Playoff's 12-member selection committee ranked the Ducks No. 2 and...

Tiger Woods still seeking swing help

The surprise isn't so much that Tiger Woods is seeking the help of a relatively unknown swing instructor named Chris Como. It is more that he is seeking one at all. All golfers look for ideas in some fashion, whether it is a quick look by a peer on the driving range or a more formal arrangement, such as the high-profile ones Woods has had in his career with the likes of Butch Harmon, Hank Haney and Sean Foley. But through all this time, after some 18 years as a pro, the ups and downs associated with winning majors, and all that accumulated knowledge, you'd think Woods might want to go at this alone for a bit. He's had time to clear his mind and regain his health after shutting it down following a missed cut at the PGA Championship. There is no pressure to perform, at least in the short term, as he is set to get back to competition in less than two weeks at the Hero World Challenge. A return to natural thoughts, swinging freely and without the...
